Position Title:                 Mechanical Engineer

Position Duties: The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the development and programming of various machines involved in the production of sheet metal while also increasing productivity and efficiency of the facility. Specifically, the mechanical engineer will work with the Engineering Manager to prepare, submit and maintain project plans and schedules and submits project reports as required; develop component and material performance specifications, conduct reviews and evaluate performance tests of designed components, assemblies, materials or processes to assure that completed work meets specifications; evaluate new technologies, new materials, and new cooling solutions, and provide guidance to R&D teams, which this position will meet with on a monthly basis in order to discuss possibilities for improved efficiencies; utilize knowledge of Laser, Punch and Bending Machines and programming AP100US, Fabribend, Solidworks and AutoCAD in order to generate CAM software using and design improvements; Tool Design and Programming G and M codes for CNC Machine buy CAM software; develop final design and engineering documentation for release to manufacturing, including drawings and specifications; and participate in and/or facilitate design, concept, and prototype reviews. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, foreign degree equivalent, or credential evaluation equivalent; experience with AutoCAD on at least 1 project; experience with Laser, Punch, and CNC machine for at least 1 project; and 3 months of experience. Experience as a Mechanical Engineer intern is acceptable.

Hours: 40 hrs/wk. (8 a.m. - 5 p.m.)
